On Saturday June 13th, Jakarta is ablaze with hot charcoal flames and it makes me wonder am I really in Jakarta or inside a giant dome of volcano Pizza? Me and some blogger friends got an invitation from Pisa Kafe for food tasting. I decide went straight away to Pisa Kafe after I get my morning fix in a hip coffee shop in Thamrin.
Located in Menteng area in Central Jakarta this restaurant has been around since 1993. The menu is a good mix of both familiar Italian dishes and some Indonesian food. There seems to be an endless pages and section headers- appetizer, pizza, pasta, Indonesian dishes, dessert, and many more.
Forno Ostriche Arrosto
We started with Forno Ostriche Arrosto (IDR 82.000) for an appetizer. Oven roasted oyster topped with spinach dipping, alfredo sauce, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, served with tangy tartare sauce and sliced lemon for the extra zing.
Metro Pizza
Metro Pizza (IDR 299.000) Four item topping with smoked beef, tuna, smoked chicken, beef salami, mushrooms, green paprika, onion, tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese
Spaghetti Gamberi
This Spaghetti Gamberi (IDR 85.000) Spaghetti noodles tossed with olive oil, black olive, cappers, mushroom, spinach, red paprika, chilli flakes and topped with big shrimp. Enough to feed one person as a stand alone dishes, but better to share if you still want to eat pizza
Triangolo Pizza
Triangolo Pizza (IDR 129.000) This stuffed crust pizza come in a unique triangle shape. The crust stuffed with sausage with sausage, smoked chicken, jalapeño and spinach topping. This pizza crust more soft and chewy than Metro Pizza.
Salmone Affumicato Pizza
Salmone Affumicato Pizza (IDR ) Thin crust pizza with melt in your mouth smoked salmon, sliced black olives, halved cherry tomatoes, and topped with mesclun. I like how they keep the base thin and crispy allowing the ingredients on top to shine, unfortunately the salad on top was bland.

Volcano Pizza
Volcano Pizza (IDR 119.000) Volcano style pizza with tomato sauce, smoked beef, mushroom, dried chilli and mozzarella cheese. Another soft and chewy pizza crust, I guess the dough for this pizza almost similar with the Triangolo Pizza. This could be a good option if you not a fans of thick and crispy pizza crust.
Fried Steak Sandwich
Fried Steak Sandwich (IDR 80.000) Deep fried breading beef tenderloin with mushroom sauce, tomato, lettuce mozzarella cheese and home-style foccacia bread, served with french fries and mayonnaise.
Ravioli Agli Spinachi di Gorgonzola
Ravioli Agli Spinachi Con Crema di Gorgonzola (IDR 83.000) Pillow shaped home-made fresh pasta stuffed with spinach and blue cheese cream sauce. These green little parcel swim in delicious cream sauce

Coppa Amore ( IDR 56.000) six scoops gelato of your choice with whipping cream, maraschino cherry, chocolate wafer and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
